We really enjoyed our Christmas this year. We had all our children here with us to share in all the excitement of the season. It is nice to have everyone together, we really enjoy the times that we are altogether.
We are so very excited that our daughter and son in law are due to deliver their first child in July. Papa and Grandma are very happy along with all our family for this blessing to arrive. God is so good!
Christmas Eve we had a nice pot roast dinner, and then went to our church for a Candlelight service, Christmas carols and Communion. Then we came home and let the children open a gift, then as a long lasting family tradition we watched Rudolf the red nosed reindeer.
We enjoyed a lasagna dinner and we were all too full to eat desert, though we did have pudding to see who would get the almond this year and the gift that they receive. It is supposed to be rice pudding but none of the kids will eat it, so this year I made them sand pudding and they all loved it. Emma and William got the almonds this year.
The next day was my husband and my 28th anniversary, it really doesn’t seem like it has been that long since we were married. I guess that’s a good thing. We went for a run in the morning; it was so nice to get out since I was sick the week before and didn’t run.
Then we went to the Sundial restaurant for dinner and it was great. I didn’t like the elevator ride much but the table was great and it rotated slowly which was really nice. You could really see the whole city and the sunset was amazing even with all the rain we have been having.
Then we went for a walk through Centennial Park, it was very pretty. We also went to a mall that had a Cheesecake Factory and had cheesecake and coffee, wow it was awesome. We also went in a Nike store that was next-door and drooled over some really nice running gear.
I hope your Christmas blessed you as ours has blessed us. Remember stay active and make wonderful memories with your loved ones.
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.
