Monday, I was still resting from the Sea Turtle Half.

Tuesday, we ran 4 miles it sure felt great to get back out and run, even if it was a short one. Our dogs were so happy as well.

Wednesday – Friday, Rested.

Saturday, We went to the Fight of Air kick off party. It was held at The American Lung Association Office, 2452 Spring Rd. Smyrna, GA. 30080, from 10 to noon. The purpose of the meeting was to help us to grow our teams and raise our support for the climb. I hope we will be able to do both. We still only have 4 member in our team, I would like to find a few more members for our team. IMG_0011

These are shirts from the last nine climbs.

We also met up with our daughter and son in law for lunch and a visit to Buy Buy Baby, which has to be the biggest baby store I have ever seen.  This was my first trip to Fuddruckers , that was the most amazing pretzel bun EVER! Next we went to the Apple Store this  was also a first for me, it was quite a busy place.IMG_0012

We were planing on going to the YMCA , running and using the stair master. But things turned out differently than we planned and we could only work in the Stair Master.

Sunday, we went to Church it was so nice to be back after the last two weekends, I was lucky to be able to work in the nursery with all the sweet babies. Then we had lunch with the family and started working on a project for our sweet little Adeline who is our first Grand-baby, we are so looking forward to holding her. She already holds all of our hearts in her itty bitty hands.

Later that night we were able to finally go for a run and did it feel good. The dogs were super excited , we ran an easy 10 miles.
After a nice long run we all need a snack that will help rebuild our muscles.IMG_0016
I am not sure how much running we will be doing this coming week as we only have FIVE days until the Spartan. And I still haven’t been able to get to the top of that rope in my tree. I think I will be doing lots of burpees for me at the Spartan.☹

My Favorite Race Medals

My Favorite Race Medals

I have to say it’s hard to pick a favorite.

One of my favorites would  have to be the first one I received from the first run I participated in, it was from the Lottie Moon run that my church has each year. This was the beginning of my running bling.image

Another one would be my metal from the 2015 Fight for Air Climb, it’s not a run but you have to climb 1252 stairs, 51 flights to the top of 191 Peachtree Towers in Atlanta. We climb in honor/ memory of my mother and for my Husbands father who is struggling with COPD. We do this for those who struggle with every breath they take.image

The first year (2014) we were happy to reach the top but I wanted to medal for my mom and in the 2015 we all did. Ken got 2nd, Faith got 1st and I got 3rd, we were all very happy.Mary Jo's Crazy Climbers

If you want a challenge you should give it a try, you’ll be helping people and yourself at the same time.image

Fight for Air Climb Atlanta

The next would be the soldier’s half marathon this was our first half  so it will always be special.image

The next and most recent is the Sea Turtle half, the course and weather were beautiful. This was our second half, I was able to PR and also place 3rd in my age group.image

I have to say it is hard to pick favorites because I like them all for different reasons.image
